Food of Curaçao

Food tells the story of a culture. If you take a deeper look at the local Curaçao cuisine you will learn about the climate, the influences of other nationalities and the local customs. The community of Curaçao is built by many nationalities and so is the taste in food as well.
1. Arepa di Pampuna
These delicious pancakes made of pumpkin are eaten as breakfast or snack. They are deliciously sweet and therefore also suitable for children. Also, the Arepa di Pampuna is eaten as a side dish for dinner. And fits perfectly with fish or meat.
2. Karni stoba
One of the most eaten dishes on Curacao. A delicious spicy stew dish. The locals eat this dish with rice or funghi.
3. Aros moro
Aros moro is a real classic Antillean dish. It's a simple side dish of rice with sauce and kidney beans. It's quick, easy and cheap.
4. Truk di Pan
When night time hits, the late-night dining and street food scene on Curacao is dominated by food trucks called “Truki Pan”, short for Trùk di pan, translated to sandwich truck. Every Curaçaoean has their favorite truki pan, their go-to place. Driving down Caracasbaaiweg across Toko San Jose you’ll find BBQ Express.
BBQ Express has grown into somewhat of a legend around the island. Always a busy place and a favorite of locals and tourists. Delicious food and quick service for an excellent price. Eating from a truck is an excellent experience for anyone on the island.
5. Kabritu burger
The local among the burgers. A burger made of goat meat. On your road to Banda Abou you can get this delicious burger at Williwood.
